MATH 110 - Quantitative Reasoning 3 hours The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the skills required to navigate the mathematical demands of modern life and prepare students for a deeper understanding of information presented in mathematical terms. Topics of the course include percentages and ratios, proportional reasoning, probability, descriptive statistics, financial mathematics, linear and exponential modeling. Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in MATH 104 or higher level MATH course, or a score of 20 or above on the math portion of the ACT or a score of 480 or above on the math portion of SAT, or an appropriate score on the Columbia College math placement exam.
