SACS 102 - South Asian Culture and Society II 3 hours An exploration of the societies and cultures of South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. This course will allow the students with a theoretical knowledge of South Asia to examine the diversity and realities of a number of South Asian societies. Students will gain a more in-depth understanding of South Asian social norms, social hierarchy, religious practice, political conflict, immigration and folklore. It is strongly recommended that students take SACS 101 before taking this class.
