HIST 332W - Two European Renaissances, 1095-1527 3 hours This course examines Western Europe in the years between 1095 and 1527, focusing on the two distinctive periods of remarkable social, intellectual, political, and cultural vitality: the “long twelfth century,” and the Italian Renaissance of the mid-fourteenth through the early sixteenth centuries. Prerequisites: Any 3 hours of a HIST course; and ENGL 133W .
