SOWK 609 - Foundations for Research and Evaluation 3 hours This course provides a foundation knowledge of social work research concepts, including basic research terminology, research ethics, problem formulation and conceptualization, measurement, research designs, sampling, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analytic techniques, to enhance the use of evidence-based social work practice. Explores the value of research in social work practice and how to engage in ethical research practice with historically marginalized populations. Prerequisites: Admission to the MSW program or Graduate standing.
