MATH 104 - Beginning Algebra 3 hours Introduction to the fundamental concepts of algebra. Review of fractions, decimals and signed numbers. Methods for solving linear equations, linear inequalities, and systems of linear equations. Thorough treatment of graphing lines and linear equalities in the plane. Introduction to rules of exponents. Real-world applications are integrated throughout the course. Students must repeat the course if a grade of U, F, or D grade is awarded.
