Sustainability, B.S.


This major is an interdisciplinary, liberal arts and sciences course of study that focuses on the interactions between humans and the natural environment. Students examine the structure and function of natural systems and the ways that human social, political and economic activity affect those systems. Students also develop ideas and skills needed to constructively engage in the solution of environmental issues. A degree in Sustainability can lead to careers in a wide variety of public and private organizations and government agencies. It also prepares students for graduate study in environmental science, law, journalism, and public policy.
