Corrections Certificate

The Corrections certificate exposes students to important concepts in corrections and promotes an understanding of the correctional environment. This program is beneficial for students in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology and Political Science, among others. These courses can help prepare students for careers in corrections, and for graduate work in the field of criminal justice, public administration, policy making in civil service and the social sciences in general.
The Corrections certificate consists of successful completion of 18 semester hours of designated coursework. The student must successfully complete a minimum of 12 of these semester hours at Columbia College.
