Business Analytics, MS


The Master of Science in Business Analytics program prepares students for roles in various industries that utilize data driven decision making and strategic management using a variety of the data sources. Graduates of the program are trained in the skills and knowledge to analyze and interpret large amounts of data to support business and solve business problems.

 

Program Learning Outcomes:

  1. Design and create effective data visualizations to communicate findings for data analysis.
  2. Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support data analysis and solve business problems.
  3. Use statistical methods data analysis techniques to analyze and interpret large datasets to make data-driven business decisions.
  4. Identify and manipulate large sets of data in support of organizational needs.
  5. Create predictive models using statistical and analytical techniques to forecast future trends and identify opportunities and risks.

Admission Requirements


  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Goal statement consisting of 300 - 500 words
  • Professional resume

Conditional Admission


Conditional admission is based on appropriate professional work and teaching experience and/or potential for academic success at the graduate level. Students who are granted conditional admission are limited to one course per session until a GPA of 3.0 has been maintained through six (6) hours of coursework. When this condition has been met, students will automatically be updated to full program status.

Program Requirements


Degree requirements include common core courses and integrate foundation courses for a minimum of 36 semester hours.
