The program includes both theoretical and practical coursework. Students learn through a combination of lectures, case studies, projects, and hands-on exercises using industry-standard tools and technologies. The program also requires students to complete a capstone project, where they apply their knowledge and skills to solve real-world cybersecurity problems. This project allows students to showcase their expertise and build a portfolio of practical experience.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in a wide range of cybersecurity roles, including cybersecurity analysts, security architects, penetration testers, digital forensics analysts, and cyber incident responders.

 

Program Learning Outcomes:

  1. Analyze and solve complex cybersecurity problems using a data-driven and evidence-based approach.
  2. Design, implement, and manage effective cybersecurity solutions.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality, integrity, and data availability and identify strategies for ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  4. Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks and develop effective risk management strategies.

Program Requirements


Degree requirements include core courses, based on specialization, and integrated foundation courses for a minimum of 33 semester hours.
