Beacon Early Childhood Certification Minor

Fifty-four semester hours of courses with an EDUC field code plus ANTH 270  or SOCI 270 , CDEV 106 /EDUC 106 , CDEV 290 , CDEV 291 , CDEV 312, CDEV 314, CDEV 316, CDEV 318, CDEV 324, and CDEV 335. Minor is restricted to the following specific 84 hours of coursework. Students must complete at least half (42 hours) of the Professional Education coursework through Columbia College and maintain a 3.0 GPA with no grade lower than C in Professional Education. Program leads to Missouri certification. Students who do not live in Missouri will be required to sign an attestation that they will complete their field experiences and student teaching in Missouri and will work in Missouri upon graduation.
