Program leads to Missouri certification. Students who do not live in Missouri will be required to sign an attestation that they will complete their field experiences and student teaching in Missouri and will work in Missouri upon graduation.

Students must complete at least half of the Professional Education coursework through Columbia College and maintain a 3.0 GPA in Professional Education courses; 2.5 GPA in General Science content area courses; and no grade lower than C in both Professional Education and General Science content area.

Minimum of 32 semester hours which must include:

Astronomy

ASTR 108 - Introduction to Astronomy 3 hours

Biology

Chemistry

Earth Science

GEOL 111 - Applied Geology 4 hours

Environmental Science

Physics

Electives

Any Science Electives (if hours needed to fulfill 32 hours minimum)
