CHEM 425 - Forensic Chemistry I 3 hours

An introduction to the methods and instrumentation used in the analysis of chemical evidence. Thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography and other relevant separation techniques, as well as UV-visible spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy will be discussed in depth. Cross-listed as FRSC 425 . Prerequisites: FRSC 210 , CHEM 306 , CHEM 312 , CHEM 312L . Corequisite: CHEM 425L /FRSC 425L .
