NURS 413 - Leadership and Management in Nursing Practice 3 hours This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of leadership and management pertinent to health care and nursing. Students will explore the interrelated processes of thinking systematically, developing reflective judgment and exercising leadership. Competencies necessary to succeed in a nursing leadership role in organizations and contemporary society are analyzed and applied to clinical scenarios. Students utilize self-reflection to assess their own leadership potential. Prerequisites: Completion of all degree requirements including all NURS courses: NURS 212 , NURS 310 , NURS 311 , NURS 312 , NURS 313 , NURS 409 , NURS 410 , and NURS 411 . This is the capstone course to be taken only after all other degree requirements have been met.
