NURS 311 - Advanced Pathophysiology 3 hours This pathophysiology course provides an in-depth study of human pathological processes and their effects on homeostasis. The course is designed to promote the understanding and application of disease processes in clinical settings. General concepts of disease include etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical significance. Pathophysiological concepts include cell injury, necrosis, inflammation, wound healing, and neoplasia. These concepts are applied in a systems-oriented approach to disease processes affecting musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, renal, nervous, gastrointestinal, immune, hematological, neurological, and endocrine systems. ASN Program: A grade of C or higher is required in this course prior to admission into the ASN program. BSN Program: For the traditional BSN program, NURS 230 or NURS 311 can be taken. A grade of C or higher is required for the BSN program.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Online RN to BSN Nursing program; BIOL 110 .
